It is with deep sorrow that the Brown family announces the passing of their mother, nana, and wife, Rhonda Brown. She was at home, surrounded by love and family, when she died peacefully on July 3, 2023.

She spent her final months doting on her three grandchildren, cherishing every moment with her family (and vice versa) and imparting valuable lessons on humility and empathy, while bravely living with pancreatic cancer. Click here to read the full obituary.

Those who had the pleasure of meeting Rhonda know of her unwavering dedication to the wellbeing of children and families. Her remarkable, 45-year career was a source of immense purpose and joy, and she was so grateful for the countless connections and relationships along the way.

The Brown Family (Cameron, Nichole, Curtis (Ashley), Rachael (Steve), Jay, Ryker, and Zahara) want to thank each and every one of you who touched her life. She will be loved and missed forever by so many.

It was Rhonda’s wish that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria Capital Region. Rhonda was the Executive Director of this agency since 2006 and, on her watch, she made it possible for over 3,300 children to have a mentor.
