The Harry deSwager Bursary

In 1991, Harry deSwager, a passionate volunteer and community leader, established this bursary through the Vancouver Foundation.

Believing every child deserves the chance to succeed, Harry created the fund to help youth involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria Capital Region pursue post-secondary education or vocational training. For eligible youth, please fill out the online form to apply or click the button to download a printable form. If using a printable form, please submit by email to main.victoria@bigbrothersbigsisters.ca or hand in to your school liasion.

How to Apply

Past or present mentees of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria Capital Region can apply for this bursary. Please submit the application form, your current school transcripts, and one letter of support (teacher, instructor, or non-family personal reference) by June 30, 2026.
