Volunteers Who Identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ or are Strong Allies

We are seeking adult volunteers whose values align with that of PRISM and who are demonstrated allies or members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community themselves to volunteer as mentoring facilitators (3 mentors per group). Lived experience with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community is not required but is considered an asset to the PRISM program. The volunteer commitment is a minimum of ten weeks, with the group meeting once per week for 1.5 hours.

These groups will run once per week at the BBBS Victoria office. Weekly group sessions will be on a weekday evening for 2 hours. Groups will consist of approximately 12 mentees, ages 14-18 and 3 screened and trained adult mentors.

If you’re interested in volunteering with PRISM, please contact James at (250) 475-1117 ext. #1007 or james.barbeiro@bigbrothersbigsisisters.ca to inquire.
